Dubai: Day #2 Finding Eden

Good morning, Springs.
Sleepy Neighborhood.

When a friend heard we'd go to Dubai for two weeks, her reaction was, "Wow. [long pause]. What will you do in Dubai? Any interesting things to see?"

It took me a while before I could answer, "Visiting family. [long pause]. Watching the fountain. Seeing Burj Khalifa closely. And gold shopping .. er, maybe?"

Three first answers were spot on. But the last one, well .. eh .. eheheh.

What I knew about Dubai, that it was a city where foreign workers could rig fortune. Unlikely heard people stayed in Dubai for leisure, apart from quick shopping during transit between destinations.

That this city was currently holding the tallest, the biggest, the largest, the any-est thingies in the world. 59 world records set in Dubai should offer us some things else than shopping temptations.  Was I right, or was I right?

Nevertheless, window shopping for now should be fine.  *shrug* That's what we - ladies were meant to do.  We could window shop while sleeping.

But before we even reached any of the malls, we stopped by at this colorful spot. I had no idea why it was named "Miracle". Perhaps the one who opened it wanted to make us gasp, "We found a piece of Eden in the desert! It's a MIRACLE!!! Hallelujah!!!".

Miracle Garden held one record as the largest vertical garden in the world.  First destination, already we saw one of the -est. How's that sound?

Get ready.

An "I" in Happy Birthday. They got good timing to greet Mat.

AED 20 per person, 3 amateur photographers, a bunch of flower pictures. The day had only just begun.
